A Scottdale man accused of sexually assaulting a girl 10 years ago posted bond this week, according to court records.

Joshua Michael Thomas, 40, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Wednesday on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, indecent assault and child endangerment.

State police arrested him last week after the accuser reported that he touched her inappropriately in 2010 at a home in Connellsville and later in Mt. Pleasant Township, according to court papers. She told police she was about 12 at the time.

Thomas denied having sexual contact with the girl. He was released from the Westmoreland County Prison on Tuesday after posting $50,000 bond.

He did not have an attorney listed in online court records. Thomas could not immediately be reached.
