Rescue crews began looking for Metzger on Saturday, said Cpl. Judson Shephard with state police in Kiski.
“We had to suspend the search late last night and resumed it around 7:30 a.m. this morning,” Shephard said Sunday.
Metzger’s vehicle was found in the lower parking lot at Keystone State Park. As searchers fanned out from a state police command center just before 10 a.m. to scour the woods, boat crews made passes along Keystone Lake. Shephard said Metzger was believed to have gone to the park alone.
On Sunday, police didn’t say where Metzger was found, but they indicated he was safe.
