The body of a Sewickley Township man who was reported missing in September was found Monday morning by a hunter, according to Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson.

Aaron D. Ross, 43, of Wendel Road in Sewickley, was last seen Sept. 7, and was reported missing by his mother.

On Monday morning, emergency officials were contacted by a hunter who discovered the remains in a grassy area along Keystone Road, near Eighth Street in Sewickley, according to the coroner’s office.

He was pronounced dead at 11:35 a.m. Carson said a cause of death is pending autopsy and toxicology results. Troop A spokesman Tpr. Steve Limani said state police do not consider Ross’s death suspicious.

Snyder Funeral Home in Irwin is handling funeral arrangements.
