'Shark Tank' revisits Murrysville business that came away with a deal
ABC’s “Shark Tank” will swim back to Murrysville to check in with FlexScreen, the window screen company that earned a deal with “shark” Lori Greiner during an early 2020 appearance on the show.
Greiner initially offered FlexScreen owner Joe Altieri $800,000, with half in cash and half as a credit line for scaling and inventory.
Altieri said he plans to use the investment to advance product development, drive marketing and increase the efficiency with which his product is manufactured.
“Lori and her team wanted to do more with us,” said Altieri, a Plum native. “So to have them more intimate with our team, and to have them as a bigger partner, so to speak, is fantastic. The deal that happened on ‘Shark Tank,’ we changed it a little bit, and now she’s officially an equity partner.”
The update will be part of the Feb. 26 episode of “Shark Tank” and will feature Greiner as well as the company’s newest partners, international technical textile supplier Saint Gobain ADFORS, and include news about the company’s growth.
“Shark Tank” airs at 8 p.m. Fridays on ABC.
Below, Altieri talks with the Tribune-Review shortly after finalizing the partnership with Greiner.
