Stage Right’s Professional Company staged its first Gilbert and Sullivan comic opera, “The Pirates of Penzance,” during in-person and live-streamed performances Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Science Hall Theater on the campus of Westmoreland County Community College.

The show featured Kevin O’Leary as the Pirate King, Anthony Marino Jr. as Frederic, Courtney Harkins as Ruth, Delaney Swank as Mabel, Anna Stewart as the Constable, Claire Ivy Stoller as Edith and Greg Keresten as the Modern Major General.

The comic opera was written by W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan and premiered in 1879.
