State police are investigating a report that a Greater Latrobe Junior High School student was offered a ride Tuesday afternoon by an unknown man, according to a message posted on the district’s website.

District officials said the incident reportedly happened in Unity in the area of Naser Foods on Route 130 and Hillside Estates after the student got off the school bus.

The student reported the man was driving a white or light-colored two-door car. Troopers are getting surveillance footage from nearby businesses. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-832-3288.
