State police at Greensburg are investigating two hit-and-run crashes in the Pleasant Unity area early Sunday morning that left behind parts belonging to either a Hyundai or a Kia.

Police said one crash occurred at 4679 Route 981 at about 1:30 a.m. and another occurred about 3 a.m. at 243 Phillips Road, which is north of the crash site along Route 981 in Pleasant Unity

At both crash scenes, parts were left behind to a Hyundai or Kia. The one crash had a part that linked to a 2008 Kia Amanti, police said.

Police believe the vehicle involved in both hit-and-run crashes would have sustained heavy front end and/or driver’s side damage. No registration information was available.
