SummerSounds opens season with The Seven Wonders
The Seven Wonders, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, opened the SummerSounds concert series in Greensburg’s St. Clair Park.
The concert series amassed a combined attendance of 28,500 people and drew more than $1 million in economic impact to Greensburg last season, co-founder Gene James said.
SummerSounds has focused on best methods to manage the crowds this year and provides a free shuttle from the city’s Lynch Field to provide an additional parking option, said Anna McClain, events manager for the Greensburg Community Development Corporation.
This year’s lineup includes tribute bands for, Jimmy Buffet and Billy Joel; Sudanese pop, reggae, funk and rock musician Sinkane; and a variety of rock, country, Americana, boogie, soul, blues, jazz and R&B artists.
