Several Greensburg-based entities are gearing up to host their second Sundays on Pittsburgh Street event this weekend.
The event, scheduled for Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Wilbur “Wib” Albright Parking Lot, located behind the Green Beacon Gallery and Unique Ink, will feature yard games, corn hole, live music, food trucks and cocktails and beer for purchase. Food trucks scheduled to attend include La Catrina Mexican, Roll Up and Miss Meatball.
The event is in conjunction with the Downtown Greensburg Project, Green Beacon Gallery and Hugo’s Taproom.
The first Sundays on Pittsburgh Street event of the summer took place last month as part of the Summer in the City festival, said Jessica Hickey, founder of the Downtown Greensburg Project. The festival returned for the first time this summer after an absence of several years.
Two other Sundays on Pittsburgh Street events are slated for this summer. The Aug. 22 event will feature several food trucks including Billu’s Indian Grill, Pit Take BBQ and McFeely’s Ice Cream Truck. The second event is scheduled for Sept. 26 featuring Cilantro & Ajo, Hoshi and Big Black Grill food trucks.
The September will event will finish out Greensburg Craft Beer Week, which runs from Sept. 17-26. Now in its fifth year, craft beer week is an opportunity for area brewers to showcase new products as well as customer favorites. The event will take place among Greensburg’s bars, restaurants and businesses.
In case of inclement weather, the status of the Sunday’s event will be updated on the Downtown Greensburg Project’s website and Facebook page.
