The 70th annual Westmoreland Fair is underway

It was farm animals, funnel cakes and old-fashioned fun on Friday night as the 70th annual Westmoreland Fair opened its gates.

The fair will run through Aug. 24 at 123 Blue Ribbon Lane in Mt. Pleasant Township. Admission is $10 and includes parking, amusement rides and admission to all commercial and agricultural exhibits and judging competitions. Admission does not include events in the grandstand arena.

Children 2 and under are admitted free.

Saturday’s highlights a concert by Mike Moscato Music at 7 p.m. and motocross at 7:30 p.m. in the grandstand arena (tickets are $7 to $25). Gates open at 10 a.m. daily.
