Tornado warning lifed for Westmoreland, Indiana counties
A tornado warning has been lifted in Westmoreland and Indiana counties, with no reports of a twister.
At 8:45 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado hovered over Blairsville, about seven miles southwest of Homer City making its way toward Black Lick, with winds moving southeast at 45 mph, meteorologists with the National Weather Service in Moon Township said.

Officials warned the storm could bring dangerously strong winds, ping pong ball-sized hail and flying debris, the National Weather Service in Moon Township said.
They warned anyone in the area to prepare by taking cover immediately. They advised moving to a basement or interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, avoiding windows and avoiding remaining in mobile homes or vehicles.
Though the tornado warning is over, scattered thunderstorms could continue overnight, clearing up by Friday morning.
