A 30-year-old Trafford man is accused of breaking into a neighbor’s house early Sunday to look for his girlfriend, police said.

Michael G. Pecharka was arraigned on charges of burglary, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after the 4:30 a.m. incident.

Borough Patrolman Zlatan Avdic reported he was on patrol on the 700 block of Seventh Street when he saw a woman run out of a house and on to the street crying.

The woman told police she allowed Pecharka’s girlfriend into her home after she had appeared on her porch stating she had an argument with Pecharka at a bar earlier in the evening and he had threatened her.

The woman told police that shortly after she heard Pecharka’s girlfriend screaming downstairs that Percharka had broken into the house through a front window.

According to police, Pecharka ran back to his residence after learning 911 had been called.

Avdic reported in court documents Pecharka repeatedly “ignored my orders” and went back into his apartment when police attempted to question him and take him into custody.

Avdic said Pecharka was eventually taken into custody at gunpoint. Pecharka was held in the county prison until his arraignment Monday and released on $25,000 unsecured bond pending a preliminary hearing April 30 before Harrison City District Judge Helen Kistler.
