An Indiana County man was arrested Wednesday, accused of sending sexually explicit photographs of himself over social media to a Derry Township girl, state police said.

Nash P. Bennett, 19, of Blairsville was charged by state police with corruption of minors, criminal use of a communication facility, photographing sex acts on a computer and having unlawful contact with a minor.

Trooper Shane McClelland said in court documents the incidents occurred at various times between August and November 2018 where Bennett forwarded sexually explicit photographs of himself to a then-15-year-old girl and asked for sexually explicit photos of the victim in return.

McClelland reported that he was able to retrieve the illicit messages from the victim’s Facebook account.

Bennett was arraigned before Derry District Judge Mark Bilik and released on $20,000 unsecured bond.
