Trump set for campaign rally at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport
Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to return to Westmoreland County just days ahead of the Nov. 8 general election.
According Trump’s Save America website, the former president will hold a campaign rally Nov. 5 at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Unity.
Details of the rally have yet to be disclosed.
Gabe Monzo, executive director of the Westmoreland County Airport Authority, on Wednesday confirmed that Trump’s political action committee agreed to pay $20,000 to rent the facility.
“It will be on the old runway, where we hold the airshow,” Monzo said.
No crowd estimate was provided.
Westmoreland County Republican Committee Chairman Bill Bretz said he received no prior notice of the rally.
Trump appeared in May at the Westmoreland Fairgrounds for a rally with U.S. Senate candidate Mehmet Oz. The Oz campaign, according to its website, has no listed campaign events for Nov. 5.
Trump has also endorsed Republican gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano. Mastriano’s campaign also has no listed events scheduled for Nov. 5.
