Ten miles of the eastbound Pennsylvania Turnpike between the Pittsburgh and Irwin exits will close for six overnight hours Sunday.

The closure will be from 12-6 a.m., weather permitting.

During the closure, turnpike crews plan to do maintenance work such as drain cleaning, road sealing and sweeping. Traffic will be diverted onto Routes 22, 66 and 30 and back onto the turnpike at the Irwin interchange.

State police and turnpike workers will be stationed at the Pittsburgh interchange to help direct motorists. Information about the closure and detour will be on message boards on the road.
