A two-mile backlog was reported on the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Friday evening as a result of a tractor-trailer truck that hit a barrier and overturned in the westbound lanes at milepost 85 in Mt. Pleasant Township, a Westmoreland County Department of Public Safety supervisor said.

The accident was reported at about 6:30 p.m. The tractor-trailer rig was carrying paper rolls, according to firefighters who responded to the crash.

The driver was reported injured in the accident.

Mt. Pleasant firefighters were assisted by other fire departments.

Additional details were not immediately available.
