A West Newton man will serve up two seven years on probation for having improper sexual contact with a 15-year-old girl last year.

Michael J. Rozzo Jr., 32, pleaded no contest this week to misdemeanor charges of corruption of a minor and indecent assault in connection with an incident Feb. 12, 2018, in Sewickley Township.

Police said Rozzo, who was attending a party thrown by the victim’s parents, went into the girl’s bedroom, made sexual advances and carried her into another room before she was able to escape.

As part of the plea deal, prosecutors dismissed a more serious felony count of aggravated indecent assault.

Westmoreland County Common Pleas Court Judge Christopher Feliciani sentenced Rozzo to serve six months on house arrest and to complete treatment for sexual offenders.
