Two Western Pennsylvania musical acts are back in the running for the Josie Music Awards, the nation’s largest independent music awards ceremony.
Mt. Pleasant native Andy Davis earned a half-dozen nominations in the Fans’ Choice (Male), Artist of the Year (Modern Country — Male), Entertainer of the Year (Male), Vocalist of the Year (Modern Country JMA Alum – Male), Best Performance in a Music Video (Male) and Modern Country Song of the Year (Multiple Songwriters/Male) categories.
In addition, Alle-Kiski Valley rockers SourMash earned Josie Music Award nominations for Entertainer of the Year (Duo/Group), Rock Group of the Year, Fans’ Choice (Duo/Group) and Song of the Year (Rock/Single Songwriter). Singer Tim Henry, a Vandergrift native, is nominated for Vocalist of the Year (Rock) and Artist of the Year (Rock).
The awards ceremony will be held Oct. 20-22 at the Grand Old Opry in Nashville. Both Davis and SourMash are previous Josie Award winners.
