Westmoreland adds 13 new coronavirus cases

Westmoreland County added 13 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

The county’s total grew to 1,422 positive covid-19 cases. They include 1,384 confirmed case and 38 probable.

There were no new deaths added to the county’s toll, so deaths attributed to coronavirus remain at 46.

The county has seen double-digit totals of new coronavirus cases every day since June 30 when six cases were reported.

Westmoreland County’s positivity rate for cases added Saturday sits at 4.3% while the overall positivity rate for cases since March is at 4.6%.

For the month of July, the county saw 763 cases, accounting for 53.7% of the total cases since March.
