Westmoreland adds 21 new covid-19 cases

There were 21 new cases added to Westmoreland County’s total covid-19 count on Monday.

To date, there have been 1,174 cases of coronavirus in Westmoreland County. There were no new deaths reported, which leaves the death toll at 40.

Among those testing positive, 20 of the new cases have been confirmed, with one possible case.

Westmoreland County has tested 26,053 individuals, with a total of 24,879 coming back negative for the virus. That figures to be a 4.5% positivity rate in the county.

The county has not recorded a new coronavirus-related death since July 16, and only 2 new such deaths in the past 63 days.

There have been 528 new covid-19 cases in the month of July in Westmoreland County.
