Westmoreland Chamber of Commerce officials will reschedule their annual prayer breakfast following predictions of snow accumulation on its original date of Friday morning.

It has been moved to Friday, Feb. 23 at Stratigos Banquet Centre in North Huntingdon.

“We understand that rescheduling may pose challenges for the many who were planning on attending, especially, considering logistical aspects such as speakers and the attendance of a large number of guests,” chamber president Dan DeBone said in a news release.

DeBone said the safety of attendees was the chamber’s highest priority.

National Weather Service forecasts are calling for snow accumulation overnight Thursday into Friday, with temperatures reaching 30 degrees during the day and dipping into the mid teens Friday night.
