Reunion

The 95th reunion of the James and William Ulery families is canceled this year because of the coronavirus.

It had been scheduled for Aug. 23 at the Laurel Highlands Campground in Donegal. It will be held at the same location on Aug. 22, 2021.

Family members may submit information on marriages, births and deaths for 2019-2020 to reunion secretary, Sheree Sauter, P.O Box 86, Alverton, Pa. 15612.

Picnic

The Aug. 13 picnic of all former L.A.H. employees and retirees has been canceled because of coronavirus.

Next year’s picnic is scheduled for Aug. 19, 2021.

Luncheon

Heritage United Methodist Church on the Diamond in Ligonier will offer a sandwich and salad luncheon 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 22.

The luncheon held during “Antiques on the Diamond” will feature a choice of hot dogs, ham barbecue and egg salad sandwiches, pasta salad, pretzel salad and pies. The luncheon will be served in the social room but is available for take out. All proceeds will benefit local and foreign missions.

Community picnic

The 27th annual Flatwoods Community Picnic at Franklin Township Park will be held Sept. 13. Registration starts at noon.

Beverages and some food items will be provided and bring a covered dish to share.

The picnic will include random drawing prizes, 50/50 drawing and tip Boards
