Westmoreland County adds 10 new coronavirus cases

Westmoreland County saw 10 new cases of covid-19 added to its total Tuesday, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported.

There were nine new cases on Monday, 20 on Sunday and seven on Saturday. The seven-day average for the county is 13 cases. There have been 88 cases reported in September.

The county’s total cases are now 1,907 with 1,841 confirmed and 66 probable.

No additional deaths were reported, leaving the death toll at 49. The last reported death was on Aug. 19.

Pennsylvania’s covid-19 tracking website reported there are three residents of Westmoreland County being treated for covid-19 in hospitals, with one of them on a ventilator as of Tuesday.
