Westmoreland County adds 15 new coronavirus cases

Westmoreland County on Wednesday reported 15 new coronavirus cases.

The county’s total is 1,763 cases. Of the total cases, 1,708 are confirmed with 55 considered probable. The 7-day average is 15 cases.

The fatality total remains at 49 with no new covid-19 deaths reported in the county in more than a week, according to the state’s covid-19 dashboard.

Three patients in the county are hospitalized with covid-19 and two of those are using ventilators.

The highest report of coronavirus cases in Westmoreland County this month came Aug. 8 when 23 cases were added.

The county has reported a total of 36,151 negative cases.
