Westmoreland County adds 20 new coronavirus cases

Westmoreland County saw 20 new cases of covid-19 added to its total Sunday, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported.

There were 7 new cases added on Saturday and 10 cases on Friday. The seven-day average for the county is 11 cases.

This is the highest total for the county since Aug. 22. There were only three days in August with 20 or more cases reported.

The county’s total cases are now 1,888 with 1,823 confirmed and 65 probable.

No additional deaths were reported, leaving the death toll at 49. The last reported death was on Aug. 19.
