Westmoreland County adds 331 covid cases, 5 deaths in 2 days
Over the past two days, Westmoreland County added 331 new covid-19 cases, according to Monday’s update from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

The state also announced there were five more covid-related deaths since Saturday, bringing the county’s total since the beginning of the pandemic to 167.
There have been 63 deaths this month, while in October, there were 47 deaths reported in Westmoreland County.
According to the state’s covid-19 dashboard, 82 Westmoreland County residents are hospitalized for covid-19, with six patients on a ventilator.
Westmoreland has seen a total of 6,020 PCR-confirmed cases of covid, with 60,550 residents tests coming back negative. That makes for an overall PCR positivity rate of 9.04%.
