Westmoreland County adds 7 new coronavirus cases

Westmoreland County saw seven new cases of covid-19 added to its total Sunday, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported.

This comes after there were 13 new cases added on Saturday and 11 cases on Friday. The seven-day average for the county is 11 cases. There have been only three days in August with 20 or more cases reported, while there have been several days with cases under 10.

The county’s total cases are now 1,809 with 1,754 confirmed and 55 probable.

No additional deaths were reported, leaving the death toll at 49. There have been three deaths attributed to covid-19 in the county in August.
