Westmoreland County had less than 10 new covid-19 cases Tuesday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
This is the first time since June 30 that the county had a single-digit case count.
The seven new coronavirus cases are all confirmed and bring the county’s case total to 1,464.
In the last 14 days, the largest number of new cases reported came July 30 with 31 new coronavirus cases. Since July, the largest case increase came July 2 when 36 new cases were reported.
No new deaths were reported Tuesday. Westmoreland County started August with 46 covid-19 deaths and has remained at that figure for five days.
Westmoreland County has a 4.89% positivity rate in covid-19 testing since it began.
