Westmoreland County reports 15 new coronavirus cases

Westmoreland County on Thursday reported 15 additional cases of coronavirus, bringing the total case number to 2,150.

Of the new cases 11 were confirmed and four are considered probable, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The county’s 7-day average is 18 cases.

There were 259 new negative results reported in the county. The total number of patients testing negative is now 41,519.

No new coronavirus-related deaths were reported, leaving the total in Westmoreland at 52.

The county currently has nine patients hospitalized for covid-19 and one of those is using a ventilator.

Westmoreland Manor on Thursday reported 47 out of 336 residents have tested positive for covid-19. They also report four additional employees have tested positive.
