One new covid-19 case was reported in Westmoreland County on Thursday, bringing the countywide total to 443.

No new deaths were reported. The countywide total was unchanged at 38.

The number of confirmed and probable cases of the coronavirus in Allegheny County increased by 23 to 1,851. No new deaths were reported, with the total unchanged at 151.

The state continued to report several more deaths than the county, with 161.

County officials have said the reason for the difference is in the state’s reporting databases. The county has access to only one of the two systems from which the state collects its data.

The state has now had 70,042 total cases and 5,373 deaths.
