• Lincoln Heights Civic Association will have bingo from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 17 at the center, 42 Millersdale Road, Jeannette. There will be 20 regular games and five quickies. Cost: 25 cents for a three-card board; $1 for quickies. Payout is 50/50. Free coffee.
• Congregation Emanu-El Israel, 222 N. Main St. Greensburg, will have a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 20 and 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 21 at the temple social hall. A bag sale will be from 11 a.m. to noon Aug. 21. Enter through the back door that leads to the social hall. Details: 724-834-0560.
• The Joe Strong Birthday Bonfire fundraiser in honor of the late Joe Purdue will be Sept. 3 at Mother of Sorrows Church, 4202 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville. Mass in honor of Joe will be celebrated at 6 p.m. and the bonfire, music and activities will be afterward until 9 p.m. Cost: $20. Reservations required by Aug. 27. History
• Baltzer Meyer Historical Society will host an Ancestry Day from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 20 at its center, 642 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Hempfield. A presentation by the Daughters of the American Revolution will be at 1 p.m. and schoolhouse tours will be offered at 2 and 3 p.m. There will be a rug twining demonstration, free use of the library, a food truck and basket raffle. • The Jeannette Business Association will sponsor a concert from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 17 in the Elliott Group Amphitheater featuring Gary Pratt. Bring a lawn chair. Food trucks and a beer garden will be on the 400 and 500 blocks of Clay Avenue and South Fifth Street. Rain or shine. No pets, skateboards or bicycles permitted.
• Acapella quartet 3Rivers4 will perform a free show Aug. 31 at the West Newton Center for Active Adults, 103 E Main St. Lunch will be at noon and the show will be afterward. Menu: turkey chef salad, vegetable soup, gelatin and milk. Lunch cost: $2, 60 and older; 59 and younger, $3.97. Tickets are free, but reservations are required by Aug. 23. Reunion
• The 65th annual Daniel K. and Annaliza S. Eutsey reunion will be Aug. 20 at Mt. Olive Evangelical Church pavilion, 515 Pleasant Valley Road, Connellsville. A potluck lunch will be at 1 p.m. Place settings and beverages will be provided, as well as crafts and a pinata for children, and cornhole games for all.

• Latrobe Center for Active Adults, 15 Ave. C, will have a program about Tai Chi for arthritis at 10 a.m. Tuesdays beginning Aug. 15. A birthday celebration will be at noon Aug. 16. Special event
• Greensburg Salem School District will host a free back-to-school bash from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 21 at Offutt Field, 302 S. Urania Ave., Greensburg. There will be music, entertainment, food trucks, concessions, children’s activities and community resources. Wear brown and gold to show school spirit. Fall sports teams will be recognized and booster organizations will sell spirit wear.
