Harrold Zion Lutheran Church will host a Longest Night Blue Christmas service for anyone who finds the holidays a difficult time at 5 p.m. Dec. 21 at the church, 671 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Hempfield. The service will include prayer, reflection and hope for those mourning the death of a loved one, struggling financially, lonely or suffering from addiction, illness or estrangement. Fundraisers
• The Venue at Live Casino, 5260 Route 30, Hempfield, will sponsor a bingo to benefit Baltzer Meyer Historical Society at 7 p.m. Dec. 22. Doors open at 5 p.m. Must be 21. Cost: $40.
• A pancake and sausage breakfast will be held 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Dec. 20 at the Greensburg Masonic Center, 349 Donohoe Road, Hempfield. Cost: $10; 5 to 12, $15; younger than 5, free.
History
The Baltzer Meyer Historical Society will host a Christmas celebration and potluck noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 21 at the museum, 642 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Hempfield. There will be an old-fashioned Christmas story and tours. Donations will be accepted.
Meeting
Rostraver Sportsmen and Conservation Association, 539 Cedar Creek Road, Rostraver, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 22. The club hosts trap shoots 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, and at 10 a.m. Thursdays and 11 a.m. Saturdays. Public welcome. Details: 412-580-9038 or rostraversca.org.
Music
The West Newton Community Band has rescheduled the concert that was canceled because of inclement weather to be at 3 p.m. Dec. 21 at the West Newton Gym, South Fifth Street. Bleacher seating will be available or bring your own chair.
