Fundraisers

• Olive Branch Baptist Church, 296 Route 981, Rostraver, will host its monthly clothing sale from 9:30 to 11 a.m. June 1 at the church. Donations of clean, used clothing in plastic bags are welcome and can be placed on the porch at the rear of the building. Profits are used to help those in need.

Library News

• West Newton Public Library will host a summer reading program from 10 to 11 a.m. June 5, 12 and 19 at the Lions Field House pavilion, 500 Pittsburgh St., West Newton. Rain or shine. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There will be a snack and crafts. Details: 724-633-0798.

Meetings

• Mt. Pleasant American Legion Auxiliary will have a meeting and appreciation dinner at 6 p.m. June 4 at the post, 752 W. Main St. Reservations required by May 30. Reservations: Kelly, 724-542-4478.

Music

• First Presbyterian Church of Greensburg, 300 S. Main St., will host a free concert of brass music at 4:15 p.m. May 26 at the church. Groups performing will include the Blairsville Brass Ensemble, Keys of Brass and Main Street Brass. A reception will follow.

Submissions from nonprofit organizations for Briefly Speaking should be emailed to cpinto-smith@triblive.com. Include a complete address and daytime phone number. Submissions are due at least two weeks prior to the event. Each announcement is printed once; there is no fee.
