Art

• Greensburg Art Center and Greensburg Hempfield Area Library will host a free art exhibit of the works of Stephanie Oplinger through Sept. 7 at the library, 237 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Greensburg. An opening reception will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Details: Rose Sovyak, 412-558-0810.

• The works of artist Michael Walter will be on exhibit Saturday through Aug. 26 at the Greensburg Art Center, 230 Todd School Road, Hempfield. A free opening reception will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Details: 724-837-6791.

Church news

• Greensburg Church of the Brethren will host a night of fun and fellowship for individuals and groups with developmental disabilities from 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays at the church, 554 Stanton St., Southwest Greensburg. Fundraisers

• Lincoln Heights Civic Association will have bingo from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the center, 42 Millersdale Road, Jeannette. There will be 20 regular games and five quickies. Cost: 25 cents for a three-card board; $1 for quickies. Payout is 50-50. Free coffee.

• E C Cruisers Car Club will host a car cruise from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bovard Volunteer Fire Department, 2 Washington St., as part of the fire department burger bash. Rain or shine. Vehicle registration: $5. There will be a DJ, dash plaques, door prizes, a bake sale and ticket auction. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the fire department.

• Epiphany of Our Lord Parish, Monessen, will have its festival car show from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd. Cars, motorcycles and trucks welcome. Rain or shine. There will be door prizes, a basket raffle and 50-50 raffle. The Pittsburgh Bel-Airs will perform from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Cost: $10 per vehicle. Details: Randy Marino, 724-493-8305.

• An outdoor cornhole tournament, Talia’s Toss for Loss to benefit Pittsburgh Bereavement Doulas, will be at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at Nicassio Field, 306 Raymaley Road, Harrison City. Register your team of two players and share your campaign on social media to raise money for your team and win prizes. There will be food, beer and wine, music and a basket raffle. Meetings

• South Hills Coin Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Bethel Park Municipal Building, 5100 W. Library Ave. The program will be about America’s first medals. There will be a 50/50 raffle and prizes for children. Public welcome. Details: 724-984-6611.

• The Jeannette Business Association will sponsor a concert from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Elliott Group Amphitheater featuring the group Shakey & the Beers. Bring a lawn chair. Food trucks and a beer garden will be on the 400 and 500 blocks of Clay Avenue and South Fifth Street. Rain or shine. No pets, skateboards or bicycles permitted.

Reunions

Special Events

• The August Fun Fest will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Creek Park, 453 Evergreen Drive, Rostraver. Magic Moments will perform doo-wop music and oldies at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the amphitheater and local bands will perform at noon, and 2, 3, 4 and 5 p.m. in Pavilion 1. Bring a lawn chair. There will be a car cruise, bingo, a flea market and a model railroad display by the Mid-Mon Valley Model Railroad Club. Cost: $4 for an all-day activity pass, includes unlimited admission to the inflatables, bounce houses, obstacle courses, rock climbing wall, petting zoo, kiddie train rides, Nerf battlefield course and more. Sponsored by the Westmoreland County Bureau of Parks and Recreation and Road Kings Car Club.

• Mt. Pleasant Night Out will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Frick Park. Local police officers, firefighters and emergency medical personnel will be on hand and there will be prizes for children, free food and water and a basket raffle. Rain date: Wednesday.
