Art
• Greensburg Hempfield Library and Greensburg Art Center will host an exhibit of the works of Suzanne Panchura through July 25 at the library, 237 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Greensburg. A free opening reception will be from 5 to 7 p.m. July 7.
Church news
• Greensburg Church of the Brethren will host a night of fun and fellowship for individuals and groups with developmental disabilities from 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays at the church, 554 Stanton St. Dinner is included. Participants must be accompanied by a family member or caregiver. Donations will be accepted. Details: 724-834-2130 or gbgcob.org.
• Otterbein United Methodist Church, Greensburg, is hosting a free summer meal program for children 18 and younger from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Aug. 3 in the church, 111 College Ave. No registration required. Details: 412-638-2461.
Fundraisers
• Lincoln Heights Civic Association will have bingo from 1 to 3 p.m. July 6 at the center, 42 Millersdale Road, Jeannette. There will be 20 regular games and five quickies. Cost: 25 cents for a three-card board; $1 for quickies. Payout is 50/50. Free coffee.
• A Yappy Hour to benefit Mon Valley Paws will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays in July at Dawgs Sports Bar and Grill, 110 Sara Way, Rostraver. Ten percent of sales will be donated to Mon Valley Paws. Details: 724-793-8305.
• Manor Lions Club will host a chicken barbeque from 11 a.m. until sold out July 8 in the parking lot of Roberts Roofing, Route 993, Manor. Menu: half chicken, applesauce, roll, cookie and drink, $10. Proceeds benefit Lions Club charities. Details: jrare4@comcast.net.
• A yard sale will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 8 at Transfiguration of the Lord Church, 353 Bridgeport Road, Mt. Pleasant. Food will be sold. Rain or shine.

• Westmoreland Walks will host a fundraiser “Give Cancer the Boot” from 5 to 10 p.m. July 21 at Yinzer Valley Farms, 681 Mulberry Hill Road, East Huntingdon. • A night of dining and music with the Sam Brooks Band to benefit the Mt. Pleasant Public Library will be July 21 at the Mt. Pleasant Polish Falcon Club, 33 Rumbaugh Ave. A cocktail hour with cash bar will be at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Music will begin at 7:30 p.m. Cost: $30. • Latrobe Area Hospital Aid Society is conducting a shoe collection drive through Aug. 1. The society will earn funds from Funds2Org based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used and new shoes that it collects. Collection boxes are in the main lobbies of Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital and Excela Square at Latrobe, both part of Independence Health System.
• West Newton Public Library is collecting newer adult fiction hardcover and paperback books, biographies, children’s books, DVDs and audio tapes for its upcoming book sale. No textbooks, encyclopedias or cookbooks please. Donations can be dropped off during regular hours at the library, 124 N. Water St.
Health
• The Lunch and Learn series at Mother of Sorrows Church, 4202 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville, will present “Diabetes – Prevalence and Control” with certified diabetes care and education specialist Susan Balog July 11 in the church social hall. The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the presentation starts at noon. Bring a bagged lunch. Beverages will be provided.
• Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 6 p.m. Wednesdays at Union Presbyterian Church, 656 Route 380, Washington Township.
Meeting
• Greensburg Garden Center will meet at 11 a.m. July 11 at the center, 951 Old Salem Road. The meeting is one week later because of the Independence Day holiday. Member J.D. Peterson will present “Simple Designs with Flowers From Your Garden.” Refreshments will be served. Bring a friend.
• South Hills Coin Club will meet and have the annual summer pizza party at 7:30 p.m. July 11 at the Bethel Park Municipal Building, 5100 W. Library Ave. There will be a 50/50 raffle and prizes for children. Public welcome. New members welcome. Details: 724-984-6611.

Music
• The Jeannette Business Association will sponsor a concert from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Elliott Group Amphitheater featuring the group Lincoln Highway Triple Play. Bring a lawn chair. Food trucks and a beer garden will be on the 400 and 500 blocks of Clay Avenue and South Fifth Street. Rain or shine. No pets, skateboards or bicycles permitted.
