Fundraisers
• St. Stephen Orthodox Church, Unity, is accepting orders for its Christmas kolaci roll sale. Varieties: nut, apricot and poppyseed. Cost: $15. Order deadline: Dec. 3. Pickup: 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 13 and 20 at the church, 1520 Susan Drive. Orders: Cathy, 724-537-7238, or Brigette, 724-836-0930.
• Westmoreland Garden Council will host its annual Christmas house tour 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 6. The tour will visit four local homes, finishing with the Robertshaw Country House at St. Emma’s Monastery where there will be a collection of nativity scenes, wassail and cookies. Cost: $50 in advance; $55 on Dec. 6. Tickets: 724-837-0245.
Meetings
• Mt. Pleasant American Legion Auxiliary will have its meeting and Christmas party at 6 p.m. Dec. 2 at the post, 752 W. Main St. Reservations required. Reservations: Kelly, 724-542-4478.
• Westmoreland Area Nurses Association will meet at 4 p.m. Dec. 1 at the DeNunzio’s Italian Restaurant, 700 Lowry Ave., Jeannette. No reservations required. Bring a $5 gift in fancy wrapping for crazy bingo. Donations will be collected for the Blackburn Center. Details: Cordie, 412-841-8529.
Senior citizen news
• Super Seniors of Westmoreland County will meet at noon Dec. 2 at Community United Methodist Church, 3487 Route 130, Trafford. Lunch cost: $2. Mikey D will play his accordion and sing Christmas music. There will be no meetings in January or February. Reservations: Jean, 724-864-2357.
