Church News

• Living Word Congregational Church, 2003 Ridge Road, Penn Township, will have a Second Mile prayer and communion service at 11 a.m. Monday through Saturday at the church.

Class

• YWCA Westmoreland will offer a class, “Canva for Beginners,” from 2 to 4 p.m. June 3 at the YWCA Mansion, 424 N. Main St., Greensburg. The session is designed for beginners to get to know the online site Canva to make cards, flyers, invitations and more. Cost: $20. Reservations required: 724-834-9390 or ywcawestmoreland.org.

Fundraisers

• Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church will sell chicken and biscuit dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. May 18 at the Cook Township Community Center, Route 711. Dine in or takeout. Menu: biscuits, chicken and gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce and dessert. Cost: $9; children, $5.

• Calvin United Presbyterian Church, Scottdale, will have its salad smorgasbord from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 17 at the church, 311 Mulberry St. Cost: $10, includes ham barbeque sandwiches, salads and beverages. For delivery to businesses, call 724-887-9880.

• A bingo to benefit YWCA Westmoreland will be at 6:30 p.m. May 17 at Youngwood Volunteer Fire Hall, 104 S. Second. St. Doors open at 5 p.m. Cost: $30, includes dinner, cards and dauber.

Health

• Wyatt Incorporated, 1172 Glacier Road, Smithton, will host a Vitalant community blood drive from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 22 at the church. Appointments recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. Appointments: call 877-258-4825 or visit vitalant.org.

Meetings

• South Hills Coin Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. May 14 at the Bethel Park Municipal Building, 5100 W. Library Ave. The program will be about early American half dollars, quarters and dimes. • Golden Dome Knitting Guild will meet at 7 p.m. May 16 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 139 N. Main St., Greensburg. The program will be about knitting with beads. Beads will be provided. Senior Citizen News
