Church news

Level Green Presbyterian Church, 105 Olive Drive, Penn Township, will sponsor a pajama party night at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 at the church. The Let It Shine black light puppetry ministry of Bethel United Methodist Church in Lower Burrell will perform. Everyone is welcome to wear their pajamas. Cookies, hot chocolate and refreshments will be served. Donations will be accepted.

Classes

• Refuge Church, Manor, will host free cooking classes on how to make three kinds of soup from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 28 and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 2 at the church, 21 Broadway Ave. Free child care will be available. Reservations required. Reservations: visit Refuge Church Boutique on Facebook.

• Greensburg Art Center, 230 Todd School Road, Hempfield, will offer a free session with artist Patricia Argyrus, “Abstract Art for the Mind,” from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 22 at the center. No experience required. Materials will be provided. Details: greensburgartcenter.org.

Fundraisers

• The Venue at Live Casino, 5260 Route 30, Hempfield, will sponsor a bingo to benefit the Western Allegheny chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society at 7 p.m. Feb. 23. Doors open at 5 p.m. Must be 21. Cost: $40. Tickets: at the door.

• A pancake and sausage breakfast will be from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Feb. 21 at the Greensburg Masonic Center, 349 Donohoe Road, Hempfield. Cost: $10; 5 to 12, $15; younger than 5, free.

• A music bingo will be held 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Greensburg Art Center, 230 Todd School Road, Hempfield. Cost: $30, includes food, drinks and cards. Tickets: greensburgartcenter.org, at the center and at the door.

• Lincoln Heights Civic Association will have bingo from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 19 at the center, 42 Millersdale Road, Hempfield. There will be 20 regular games and five quickies. Payout is 50-50. Free coffee. Cost: 25 cents for a three-card board; $1 for quickies.

• The Disciples Hands Ministry of Greensburg Church of Brethren will have a soup sale from 9 a.m. until sold out Feb. 21 at the church, 554 Stanton St., Southwest Greensburg. Cost: $8 per quart. Hempfield Area High School band subs also will be available. Details: 412-403-8182.
