Art

• The Greensburg Art Center will sponsor a bus trip Dec. 14 to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Special exhibits will include Sargent and Spain, Vermeer’s Secrets of Venice and Capaccio’s Italian Art. The bus will leave at 5:30 a.m. from the art center, arrive at the museum at about 10:15 a.m. and leave Washington at 5 p.m. The museum has three cafés available for lunch and there will be a dinner stop on the way home. Fundraisers

• Lincoln Heights Civic Association will have bingo from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 1 and 15 at the center, 42 Millersdale Road, Jeannette. There will be 20 regular games and five full-card quickies. Cost: 25 cents for a three-card board; $1 for quickies. Payout is 50/50. Free coffee.

• A vendor and craft show will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at Herminie Center for Active Adults, 101 Sewickley Ave., rear. Admission is free and there will be a basket raffle. Details: 724-446-3282.

• Greensburg Garden Center will have its annual Christmas and live greens sale from 3 to 7 p.m. Dec. 2 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 3 at the center, 951 Old Salem Road. Other items available will include trees, swags, bows, wreaths, centerpieces and more. Details: 724-837-0245.

• Community Revitalization of West Newton and the West Newton Women’s Club will sponsor a Christmas house tour from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 3. Six homes in West Newton and one in Rostraver Township will be decorated. Homes can be visited in any order. Cost: $15. • Calvin United Presbyterian Church, 311 Mulberry St., Scottdale, will have a nativity display from 2 to 8 p.m. Dec. 3 at the church. Soup, bread and drinks will be sold for a donation and priced sweets and treats will be sold.

• Alabaster’s Sparkling Christmas Show will be presented at 2 p.m. Dec. 4 in St. Bruno Hall, 1705 Poplar St., South Greensburg. Cost: $20; younger than 12, $5. A lunch show will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 5 at Giannilli’s II Restaurant, Route 30, Unity. Cost: $45; younger than 12, $30. Tickets: 724-516-5189 or alabasterperformingarts.org.

• A Christmas Bingo will be at 6:45 p.m. Dec. 7 at St. Barbara Parish, 111 Raymaley Road, Harrison City. Doors open at 5 p.m. Larger payouts will be given in lieu of gifts. • #Yinzunited is sponsoring a raffle to benefit United Way of Indiana County. Franco Harris will present the winner with a painting autographed by him and Jerome Bettis on Dec. 15. Winning tickets will be drawn at 6 p.m. Dec. 8 in the loft at Levity Brewing, 1380 Wayne Ave., Suite A, Indiana, Pa. Second prize is $750; third, four tickets to the Dec. 24 Steelers football game versus Las Vegas; fourth, an autographed Jack Ham football; and fifth, $100 in lottery tickets. Cost: $20. • Greensburg YWCA, 424 N. Main St., will sell used books for 25 cents each from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and the first Saturday of each month through the end of the year.

• Jeannette American Legion will host a bingo at 1 p.m. Dec. 4 at the post, 109 S. Fifth St. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Cost: $25 per packet, includes regular and special games. The jackpot game will pay $750. Full extra packets and specials available. The kitchen will be open and there will be a 50/50. Proceeds benefit American Legion activities. Details: 724-523-6231.

• Local chapters of the Women’s Business Network have scheduled meetings. Those attending can learn how the group supports the success and growth of women in business.
