• Takeout stuffed chicken breast dinners will be sold from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 1 at Gary’s Chuckwagon, 109 S. Second St., West Newton. Proceeds will benefit the West Newton Community Singers as the group celebrates its 50th anniversary. Menu: stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls and dessert, $20. • Devout Brewing Company in Export will sponsor its third annual Pumpkin Pitchin’ event at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at the brewery, 1301 Pontiac Court No. 101. Doors open at noon, check-in for participants starts at 1:30 p.m. at 2 p.m. and games will start at 2:30 p.m. There will be three categories, precision throwing, tossing pumpkins into water-filled barrels for points and pumpkin bowling. Participants must be 21 and prizes will be awarded. Registration fee: $10 for participants. Proceeds will be donated to Toys for Pittsburgh Tikes. Halloween
• The free Halloween Hootenanny sponsored by Friends of Derry will begin at 5 p.m. Oct. 31 at Derry Community Park, 617 W. 5th Ave. The family event will have a trick-or-treat, food trucks, vendors and the screening of a classic Halloween film at dusk. Details: Nathan Bundy, 724-217-2332.
