Contest

• Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce is accepting entries for the annual calendar contest. Photographs should be recognizable as a location in the Ligonier Valley. Can include landscapes, special events, landmarks and more. Submission deadline is July 23. Details: 724-238-4200 or Ligonier.com

Day camp

• Salvation Army of Jeannette will offer Fun in the Sun Day Camp, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. June 14-18, June 21-25 and June 28-July 2 for children age 5 to 12 at the center, 1100 Clay Ave. Ext. Fundraisers

• St. James Parish, New Alexandria, will host an outdoor craft and vendor show, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday , 306 St. James Lane. There will be food and a silent auction. Face masks required and covid-19 safety protocols will be observed. Details: 724-787-2240 or angelgillott2@gmail.com

Meeting

Open house

• Camp Allegheny, Stoystown, Somerset County, will host an open house and free community day, 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the camp, 100 Camp Allegheny Drive. Families, youth groups, church groups and individuals welcome. Children younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Pony rides, archery, pond boats, crafts, a picnic and more.
