• Community Revitalization of West Newton will host a free touch-a-truck event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20 in the West Newton Elementary School parking lot. Reservations required: send an email with the parent’s name and address and the number of children to crown15089@yahoo.com.

• Living Word Congregational Church, 2003 Ridge Road, penn township, will have a Second Mile prayer and communion service at 11 a.m. Monday through Saturday at the church.
• St. James Church, 306 St. James Lane, New Alexandria, will have all-day Eucharistic Adoration April 8 for the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord. Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m., adoration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and benediction will be at 6 p.m. Drop in anytime during the day. Details: 724-668-2829.
Fundraisers
• Irwin Senior Activity Center will sponsor an Italian dinner at 5 p.m. April 19 at First United Methodist Church, 310 Oak St. Menu: choice of stuffed shells, chicken rigatoni or carbonara; $20; spaghetti for children age 10 and younger, $10. Includes entree, salad, breadstick, dessert and beverage. Tickets: stop in at the center located in First Methodist Church.
• The Disciples Hands Ministry at Greensburg Church of the Brethren will have a soup and sandwich sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 13 at the church, 554 Stanton Ave., Southwest Greensburg. Proceeds will be used to feed the hungry. Details: 724-834-2130.
Senior Citizen News
