Christmas event
• The annual Light Up Latrobe and Holiday Night Market will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 in James H. Rogers Memorial Park, behind the Latrobe Art Center. There will be a holiday trolley, arts and crafts, carolers and a tree lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. Details: hollyjolly latrobe.com.
Fundraisers
• St. Mary Byzantine Church will sell apricot kolachy, haluski and pierogi with butter and onions from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 during Herminie Light Up Night in the church hall and outside in front of the church, 5 Second St., Herminie. Advance orders encouraged. Orders: 412-206-1608.
• The Westmoreland Museum of American Art will sponsor a holiday mart from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 at the museum, 221 N. Main St. There will be entertainment, free hot chocolate, cookies and gift wrapping for purchases and raffles. Details and a list of vendors: thewestmoreland.org.
• The Woman’s Club of West Newton and the West Newton Center for Active Adults will host a Christmas boutique from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 at the center, 103 E. Main St. There will be a basket raffle, refreshments and 50-50.
• Lincoln Heights Civic Association will have bingo from 1 to 3 p.m.Thursday , Dec. 4 at the center, 42 Millersdale Road, Hempfield. There will be 20 regular games and five quickies. Payout is 50-50. Free coffee. Cost: 25 cents for a three-card board; $1 for quickies.
• A Santa’s Village Market will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Cook Township Community Center, 1714 Route 711, Stahlstown. • The Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday Showcase will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3 at the Core Event Center, 100 Colony Drive, Irwin. There will be a DJ, raffles, a 50-50 and food. Cost: $20; VIP package that includes a buffet, cash bar and 26 raffle tickets, $45 in advance only. Tickets: westmorelandchamber.com.
