Church news

• Greensburg Church of the Brethren will host a night of fun and fellowship for individuals and groups with developmental disabilities from 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays at the church, 554 Stanton St. Dinner is included. Participants must be accompanied by a family member or caregiver. Donations will be accepted.

• A living tableau depicting the final evening of Jesus’ life on earth will be presented at 7:30 p.m. April 14 at Latrobe Presbyterian Church, 428 Main St. Actors will recreate the image of Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” and each will relate his life experience with Jesus. The sacrament of Holy Communion will be served. Donations will be accepted to benefit Ukrainian refugees via the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. The church is accessible. Details: 724-537-3631.

• The monthly Boro Boys Breakfast at Derry First United Methodist Church will be at 9 a.m. April 19 at the church, 311 N. Ligonier St. Cost: $7. Reservations required. There will be no Ladies Lunch in April due to Holy Week. Reservations: Rich, 724-694-9528.

Easter events

• Faith Lutheran Church, 820 Plummer School Road, South Huntingdon, will host an Easter egg extravaganza from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 9 for children age 4 to 12. There will be a lesson, an egg hunt and a craft, and lunch will be served.

• Union Presbyterian Church, 656 Route 380, Washington Township, will have a free Easter event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 9. There will be an egg hunt, story, craft and lunch. Bring a basket. Details: unionpresbychurch.com.

• Manor Recreation Board will host a free Easter party from 2 to 4 p.m. April 10 at the community building. There will be games, prizes, a craft, refreshments and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Fundraisers

• Lincoln Heights Civic Association will host bingo from 1 to 3 p.m. April 7 and 21 at the center, 42 Millersdale Road, Jeannette. There will be 20 regular games and five quickies. Cost: 25 cents for a three-card board and $1 for quickies. Payout is 50/50. Free coffee.

• First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon will host its annual spaghetti dinner and bake sale from 1 to 4 p.m. April 9 at the church, 501 Fayette Ave. Menu: spaghetti, meatballs, salad and dessert, $10; age 6 to 10, $5; younger than 6, free. Dine in or takeout. Tickets: 724-929-7616.

• The 14th annual Race for Grace to benefit the Reflections of Grace Foundation will be April 9 at Norwin High School, North Huntingdon. Opening activities start at 7 a.m. and the race begins at 9. Indoor activities after the race will include games, dance performances, a basket raffle, silent auction, charitable hair donations and awards ceremony. Reflections of Grace Foundation provides financial, emotional and educational support to children and their families affected by pediatric brain cancer. Details: reflectionsofgrace.org.

• West Newton First Church of God is accepting orders for baked goods from the Gingerbread House Bakery, West Newton. Menu: nut rolls, pumpkin rolls and cinnamon rolls, $10. Pies: pumpkin, apple, Dutch apple, Dutch cherry, peach, sugar-free apple, blueberry, lemon meringue, chocolate meringue and coconut cream, all $12. Payment due at pickup. Order deadline: April 8. • Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Union Presbyterian Church, 656 Route 380, Washington Township. No reservations required.

Meetings

• The Braddock Trail chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet April 9 at the chapter house, 200 S. Church St., Mt. Pleasant. Lunch will be served at noon and the meeting will begin at 1 p.m. The program will be the annual meeting and officer and committee reports.

• Local chapters of the Women’s Business Network have scheduled meetings. Those attending can learn how the group supports the success and growth of women in business. Professional women are welcome and can attend as a guest at no cost. Some meetings will be held online. Call the chapter representative for more information.
