Art
The auxiliary Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Ligonier Valley will host a sweater pumpkin-making party from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 22 at the museum, 1 Boucher Lane, Ligonier Township. • Paradise United Methodist Church, 105 Hoke Road, Bullskin Township, will have a Bundle-up Blessings Day from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 15 in the church fellowship hall. Anyone in need is welcome to select one coat or other item of warmth at no cost while supplies last. Non-perishable food items will be collected for the church food pantry. • St. James Church, New Alexandria, will have all-day Eucharistic Adoration Oct. 18 for the Feast of St. Luke the Evangelist. • Westmoreland County Blind Association will host a bingo at 1 p.m. Oct. 15 at West Point Firehall, 100 Volunteer Drive, Greensburg. Doors open at 11:45 a.m. and lunch will be at noon. • Jeannette Community Band will perform a free cabaret-style concert at 7 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Jeannette American Legion, 109 S. The concert will feature solo and small ensemble performances, as well as full band pieces. There will be a basket auction and 50/50 to benefit the Carl Masciantonio Memorial Music Fund.

• AARP is seeking volunteers for its Tax-Aide program that provides free preparation help to anyone with a focus on taxpayers who are over 50 and have low-to-moderate income. Volunteers are needed at sites in North Huntingdon, Trafford, Penn Township, Murrysville and Delmont. Positions include tax return preparers, client facilitators and appointment schedulers.
