Fundraisers

• West Newton Little House Association will sell takeout barbecue chicken lunches from 11 a.m. until sold out Aug. 9 in Vine Street Park in West Newton. Menu: half barbecued chicken, applesauce, homemade roll, chips and water, $10. Details and tickets: 724-872-7937.

• Westmoreland Historical Society will host its an antiques and collectibles market Aug. 10 at Historic Hanna’s Town, 809 Forbes Trail Road, Hempfield. Some vendors will be set up and selling Aug. 9, and the rest will be open from 7:30 a.m. until early afternoon Aug. 10. Admission: $5 per car. A portion of parking revenues benefit the Forbes Road Volunteer Fire Department. The market will be open the second Sunday of each month through October. Reunion

• The 67th annual Daniel K. and Annaliza S. Eutsey reunion will be Aug. 17 at Mt. Olive Evangelical Church pavilion, 515 Pleasant Valley Road, Bullskin. A potluck lunch will begin at 1 p.m. Place settings and beverages will be provided, and there will be a piñata and crafts for children.

• Ligonier Valley Writers will host its annual community picnic from 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 17 at the Jamison Farm, 171 Jamison Lane, Unity. Admission: $5, free for members. Free copies of the new edition of the Loyalhanna Review will be available. Share your writing or just listen to others. Public welcome. Reservations required by Aug. 9. • Westmoreland County Pollinators will sponsor a Garden Gaze Day from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at these locations: Ligonier Township: Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, 1 Boucher Lane; DCNR Forbes State Forest, 1291 Route 30; Penguin Court, 314 Penguin Court; and Penn State Demo Gardens at Ligonier Country Market, 110 Andi Lane; Ligonier: Ligonier Valley YMCA, 110 W. Church St.; and Ligonier Valley Middle School, 536 Bill St.; Cook: Powdermill Nature Reserve, 1795 Route 381. Learn about pollinators and native plants.
