Westmoreland happenings: spaghetti dinner, coin show, reunion, more

Fundraisers
• Downtown West Newton Inc. and West Newton Moose will have a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7:30 p.m. June 17 at the Moose, 102 S. Water St. Menu: spaghetti, side salad, bread and butter and homemade desserts, $12. Dinners will be the third Saturday of each month. Funds raised will be used to pay for the Christmas snowflakes that were purchased for next year. Tickets: 724-872-7264 or 724-872-0100.
• Fairview Church of God will have a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 17 at the church, 2202-2206 Route 982, Mt. Pleasant Township. Lunch and baked goods will be available.
• Greensburg Coin Club will hold a coin show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 18 at Circleville Firehall, 129 Robbins Station Road, North Huntingdon.
• Christ United Church of Christ, 1414 Ligonier St., Latrobe, will have a soup and salad bar from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 21 in the lower level of the church. Cost: $8. A stair lift is available to access the lower level. Details: 724-537-4901.
• The Greensburg Garden Center will have its annual garden tour June 24. There will be seven gardens on the tour from Greensburg to New Stanton. Cost: $25, in advance; the day of the tour, $30. Tickets: 724-837-0245.
• St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 200 Leger Road, North Huntingdon, will have a car cruise and Blessing of the Bikes ceremony June 25. The cruise will be from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the lower church lot. The blessing will be at 2 p.m. in the upper parking lot. Vehicle fee for the cruise is $10. • The Laurel Harmony Chorus, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, is seeking new members. • A free Father’s Day Fishing Derby will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 18 at Twin Lakes Park. Registration begins at 7 a.m. at the boathouse on the lower lake. Contestants must be registered by noon to be eligible to win a trophy or prize. First and second prize trophies and merchandise will be awarded for the longest trout, longest carp and longest other fish of legal size in both adult and youth categories.
