Christmas event
• A story time with Mrs. Claus will be at 4 p.m. Nov. 30 at Keystone Railhouse Event Center, next to Gary’s Chuckwagon, 115 S Second St., West Newton. Sponsored by West Newton Public Library as part of the borough’s light up celebration.

• Greensburg Church of the Brethren will host a night of fun and fellowship for individuals and groups with developmental disabilities from 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays at the church, 554 Stanton St., Southwest Greensburg. • The Latrobe Area Hospital Aid Society Lights of Love holiday event will be at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 10 in the Robindale Auditorium, 501 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Each light represents a gift in honor or memory of someone special. Suggested minimum donation is $8. There will be holiday music, a ceremony of remembrance and honor, tree lighting and light refreshments. Gifts will be accepted through the end of the year. • A nonpartisan seminar about how to run for local office will be offered online from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 2 by Protect PT. Topics will include what paperwork to file, how much money is needed and best practices on reaching out to the public. Reservations required. Senior Citizen News
• Irwin Senior Activity Center, 310 Oak St., will celebrate November birthdays and have grocery bingo at 12:15 p.m. The center will be closed Nov. 27 and 28 for Thanksgiving. Donations are accepted for all activities. Details: 724-787-1760.
