Christmas event

• Level Green Presbyterian Church, 105 Olive Drive, Trafford, will host a free live Nativity Dec. 13 on the church front lawn. Visiting with the animals will be at 6:45 p.m. and the program will begin at 7 p.m. Carol singing will be afterward. Hot chocolate, hot cider, coffee and cookies will be served in the fellowship hall and there will be face painting, cookie decorating and children’s crafts. Bring a canned food item for donation to the Trafford Food Bank. Parking is limited; car pools are recommended. Details: levelgreenchurch.org.

Church News

• St. James Church, 306 St. James Lane, New Alexandria, will have all-day Eucharistic Adoration Dec. 9 for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. Adoration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and benediction will be at 5:30 p.m. Drop in anytime during the day. Holy day Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Details: 724-668-2829, option 3.

Fundraisers

• Community Church of Hecla, 537 Hecla Road, Mt. Pleasant Township, will host a turkey dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 14 at the church. Dine in or takeout. Details and takeout orders: 724-516-0494 or 724-466-2855.

Health

• Mt. Pleasant Veterans of Foreign Wars will sponsor free Question, Persuade and Refer Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention training at 5 p.m. Dec. 10 in the post hall, 416 W. Main St. Participants will learn to recognize the warning signs of suicide, how to offer hope and how to get help and save a life. Public welcome.

Meeting

• South Hills Coin Club will have its annual Christmas party at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Bethel Park Municipal Building, 5100 W. Library Ave. There will be a 50-50 raffle and prizes for children. Public welcome. Membership applications are being accepted. Details: 724-984-6611.

Senior Citizen News

• Irwin Senior Activity Center, 310 Oak St., will have white elephant bingo at 12:15 p.m. Dec. 10. Vitality for Drumming at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 11 will be a Christmas edition. Reservations required. If the sign-up sheet is full, please add your name to the waiting list. Everyone who signed up was able to participate last time. Donations are accepted for all activities. Details: 724-787-1760.
