Art

• The Greensburg Art Center will host “Anything Goes,” a display of the works of members of the Westmoreland Photographers Society, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays through May 31 at the center, 230 Todd School Road, Hempfield. Admission is free. A free opening reception will be from 6 to 8 p.m. April 19. Light refreshments will be available and there will be a limited cash bar. Details: greensburgartcenter.org.

Business workshop

• Mt. Pleasant Business District Authority will host a workshop “Digital Marketing for Leads and Sales” from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 29 at the authority office, 445 W. Main St., Mt. Church News

• St. James Church, 306 St. James Lane, New Alexandria, will host a Rosary rally in honor of Our Lady of Fatima from noon to 1 p.m. April 20. Those attending should gather at the three white crosses on the church grounds. Bring a lawn chair. Details: 724-668-2829.

Fundraisers

• Fairview Church of God will have a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20 at the church, 2202-2206 Route 982, Mt. Pleasant Township. Lunch and baked goods will be available.

• Youngwood Lions will sponsor a pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. April 20 at Christ United Methodist Church, 100 Lincoln St., Youngwood. Dine in or takeout. Cost: $8; 6 to 12, $4.

• First United Church of Christ, Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, will have a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 20 at the church. A bag sale will be from noon to 1 p.m.; bags will be provided.

• Pedaling for Conservation, a fundraiser for the Westmoreland Conservation District, Coal & Coke Trail Chapter and Jacobs Creek Watershed Association, will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 9 at the Coal and Coke Trail near Mt. Pleasant. The route will be an easy 8-mile round-trip ride by bicycle. Bikers will stop at multiple sites and hear speakers. Bring your own bicycle. Cost: $20, includes an event T-shirt and a year membership to the CCTC and JCWA. Reservations required by Monday. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent. • Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church will have an Election Day takeout spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 23 at Cook Township Community Center, Route 711, Stahlstown. Menu: spaghetti with meat sauce, bread, salad and choice of chocolate or white cake. Orders can be placed and picked up at the tent outside the kitchen entrance. No phone orders available. Cost: $8; children 4 to 11, $5; 3 and younger, free.

• The Holy Name Society of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, will host an all-you-can-eat omelet breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon April 21 in the church social hall, Summit Street. Dine in or takeout. There will also be a 50-50 raffle. Cost: $10; age 3 to 12, $3; younger than 3, free.

• Mon Valley Paws will sell pepperoni rolls from 11 a.m. until sold out April 20 at the intersection of Grand and Monessen boulevards in Monessen. Details: 724-493-8305.

• A spring breakfast and bake sale will be from 8 a.m. to noon April 21 at St. James Church, 306 St. James Lane, New Alexandria. Menu: ham, sausage, pancakes, eggs, potatoes, juice, coffee and tea. Cost: $10; age 6 to 12, $5; younger than 6, free. There will be a basket raffle. Sponsored by the parish Holy Name and Rosary Altar societies. Details: 724-668-2829.

• A spaghetti dinner will be from 4 to 7 p.m. April 18 at First United Church of Christ, 400 Main St., Irwin. Menu: spaghetti, salad, bread, beverage and dessert. Cost: $10; children, $5.

• A ladies afternoon tea to benefit God’s Re-Creation Christian Center in McKeesport will be at 1 p.m. April 27 at the Hall at Robbins Station, 129 Robbins Station Road, North Huntingdon. • Independence Health System will offer wellness check diagnostic screenings by appointment from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. April 24 at Excela Square at Frick, 508 S. Church St., Mt. Pleasant. Sponsored by Mt. Pleasant Rotary. No walk-ins will be accepted. Appointments and details: 877-771-1234.

History

• Baltzer Meyer Historical Society, 642 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Hempfield, will host an open house from noon to 4 p.m. April 21. Author John Plischke will discuss edible wild mushrooms and there will be new displays and tours.

Library News

• Murrysville Community Library will host a free author talk with Leslie Savisky from 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 23 at the library, 4130 Sardis Road.
